RSS on the iPhone - eat it up

RSS bite

RSS jockeys rejoice! The most excellent web-based RSS reader from Google is totally optimized for mobile access, including the iPhone. Sure, you could use Safari’s built-in RSS reader, but its features are sparse, making the whole experience pretty painful. Until Apple ships a decent native RSS app for the iPhone, we are all stuck with using web RSS readers. Fortunately, the Google Reader mobile version delivers a satisfying feed fix for us. The downside is that feeds are read-only and you can’t manage them, you will have to do that from your desktop. But once you get it all set up, reading the feeds on your iPhone is quite good. Go to http://www.google.com/reader, which will automatically take you to the mobile version if you are on your iPhone.
