iPhone Tips: Improve snapshot quality, manage photos better

The iPhone, like most phones in recent years, is a vessel for more than just phone calls. Media sharing and communication is the main aim of the smart phone revolution, including the ability to take and share photos right from your hand held. The iPhone has the capacity to use photos in a number of ways, both requiring applications within the phone and on your computer.
The camera itself is not as good as those found on newer phones. When using it, you must make sure to hold it steady and that the object you are taking the picture of is stationary. Make sure you are ready to take the photo the entire time you are setting up the image. Make sure there is enough light especially, since the imaging for low light is difficult. If you are going to take a number of pictures you absolutely must download a picture aiding application, such as Stepcase (formerly Steadycam). There are also carrying cases now available that help to magnify the photo capabilities of the built in camera, as well as nifty magnetic lens that extend the iPhone’s built-in lens.
It is incredibly easy to get photos from your computer onto your iPhone. When you plug in your iPhone go ahead and open iTunes and select your phone under the Device segment on the left hand side. Go to the Photos tab and then check the “sync photos from” box. In the menu next to the box select “choose folder” and you can then select the picture photo that you would like to sync to your phone. This makes it so you can use photos from your computer for things such as iPhone wallpaper. Sometimes images do not transfer well, so try to make sure they are in the area of 310 x 460 for the best kind of transfer.
One of the great parts of working with Safari is that you can actually save photos directly from web pages. To do this you approach each picture similar to the way you would a hyperlink. Press the picture and hold down, which will bring up a pop up window that will give you the option to save the picture. It will then go to the photo folder within the icon on your home page menu.
One of the things that the iPhone and iPod Touch has made incredibly easy is to take screenshots on your phone. To do this you can just press the off/sleep button and the home button at the same time and a white flash will occur, indicating that a picture has been taken. It will then be added to the Camera Roll.
If you intend on dealing with photos in a number of ways on your iPhone then you are going to want to get some of the available applications from the App Store. Though many of them cost money, they still may be worth it if taking pictures and managing them is one of the primary functions you want from the iPhone.
