iPhone hack - Run 3rd party apps with the new Installer.app 3.0

Installer.app 3.0

Installer.app, the leading hack for putting 3rd party apps on your iPhone, has been updated to version 3.0. Apps are now organized into sections making them easier to locate. Installer.app also has added an “Update All” feature along with an improved back-end to manage packaging. The new Installer.app auto detects your firmware version and only displays the 3rd party apps that will run on your iPhone.

To install 3.0 you must install the older version first, then update the installer itself. If you are running firmware 1.1.1, the you will need to jailbreak before you transfer Installer.app manually to your iPhone. Be sure to read the instructions first.

iPod touch owners note that Installer.app is only for the iPhone. For iPod touch hacking you’ll need to use iJailbreak, or wait until early next year when the official SDK is released by Apple.

This will NOT work for firmware 1.1.1.

If it did and you chose to install it, Apple cannot void your warrantee for install this.

You may be thinking of unlocking the iPhone to be used with other carriers, which Apple has stated may void your warantee.

Any idea where the Calendar fix for ipod Touch went? I just had to restore my iPod touch after the mail app failed to work, now I can’t find the package that allows the iPot Touch calendar to be added to?
