Touch chess with iChess

It’s a bit more involved than Bejeweled, but few classic games adapt better to the iPhone’s touch screen as well as chess. The excellent iChess from Morfik has several visual skins and an option to play “point and click” or “drag and drop.” Thumbs up.

iChess has critical flaws regarding chess rules. A review and fix are needed.

play the actual game. You can’t win. It doesn’t declare “check” when you get the opponents king in check, and you’re not allowed to take the king when its your turn. I’m sure this error is not intentional, but it definitely needs to be fixed. Plus when you get a checkmate there are a ton of javascript errors that pop up.

I was not able to do a legal move due to some bug.
The game didn“t allow me to move my King to a safe haven, and insisted I should move any of those squares that were hightlighted.
Somehow it missed that one square.
