Attack of the Zombie Bikini Babes from Outer Space

Nothing says “Halloween” like a horde of zombies hell-bent on killing you, especially when said zombies come from outer space and were perhaps hot babes at one time but now just merely babes, and those zombie babes are wearing bikinis. What better way to get into the mood of All Hallow’s Eve by fending off the bikini clad zombie horde with slingshots and turning the countryside into a virtual gore fest? Well, we can’t think of a thing. Starting today you can do all that right on your iPhone or iPod touch with Attack of the Zombie Bikini Babes from Outer Spaceicon, one of the funnest, zaniest, and gruesomest App Store games we’ve ever played.

Attack of the Zombie Bikini Babes from Outer Space plays like a colorized ’50s B-movie horror flick. You play a raccoon-lovin’ redneck with a penchant for slingshots. Flying saucers drop hordes of zombies which attack you in progressively challenging waves. From a first person POV you control two slingshots, one for each hand. You set the distance by how far you pull back the slingshots with your thumbs, and you adjust the aim by sliding your thumbs left or right.

The waves of attacks are progressively challenging and there are 40 waves in all. Fortunately, with each wave you survive you a rewarded with the option to purchase upgrades, which you will need to continue your survival. You can buy better slingshots, exploding ammo, and critters like raccoons to run interference for you. There’s also a lot of surprises along the way such as Zombie Dance mode which causes all the zombie bikini babes within a certain range to stop and dance for you allowing you more time to cut them to pieces with your slingshots.

Attack of the Zombie Bikini Babes from Outer Space -Upgrade your ammo

If you can survive all 40 waves, you are rewarded with Survival Mode. In this mode of gameplay you start with all the weapons and ammo unlocked and you try to survive as long as you can. The action is frenzied and the visual gore is chock full-o-giblets.

The game also has a cool Globe feature which serves as a leader board. It’s actually a 3D view of Earth in a black-and-white 50′s television style complete with scan lines and campy horror sound effects as if you are tuning into the alien transmission from space. The globe rotates to display the location of other players and you can see what their score is along with their status, alive or dead.

The game’s creator is listed as an unheard of company called Smute, but don’t let that fool you. This is only a Halloween prank played by the games real creators, Smule, the iPhone app geniuses that brought us I Am T-Pain and Ocarina. And in true geek style, they chose Marina Orlova, the sexy word nerd of Hot for Words internet fame to provide the likeness for the zombie bikini babes.

The entire game’s presentation is a delightful throwback to grind house drive-in movies making it fun to watch and a blast to play. We love this game and can’t recommend it enough. It’s only .99 cents in the App Store and well worth the cost. If you’re on the fence about buying it, then get the lite version for free and take it out for a splatter or two. The lite version comes with 3 levels to try out, but we’re pretty sure you’ll be hooked by the end. This game is rated 17+ and for pretty good reason. All the reasons we love it, actually.

I could not find this in the AppStore. Is it no longer available? Censored? Or what?
