Are you ready for some football? Watch it live on your iPhone or iPod touch

Pro Football Live for iPhone and iPod touch

Dude. It’s the season opener of Monday Night Football, and it’s a double-header. Over six hours of glorious American football, watching 300 lb. millionaires slam into each other at full speed. It doesn’t get much better than that. Unfortunately, you’re gonna miss all of it because your girlfriend’s poodle swallowed one of your fishing hooks and you’re gonna spend all night at the vet’s providing emotional support.

It’s a damn shame you don’t have Pro Football Liveicon, the free app for iPhone and iPod touch that streams the game’s stat onto your touch screen during the game in real-time. This isn’t just another sports app that displays scores. Pro Football Live combines up to the minute football coverage that includes key statistics and pictures from the game, breaking news, scores, and schedules.

Pro Football Live also offers a “virtual stadium” feature letting users cheer or jeer during the game. This social aspect of the app really differentiates it from similar sports applications. It is a very good app for a first release, but suffers from some minor usability issues as well as some sluggish performance on the 3G network (although it works well on wi-fi). This app was created by Plusmo, and since football hall-of-famer Ronnie Lott, is an investor in Plusmo, we think this app is one to watch for any football fan.

If you’re reading this now, excuse yourself from your girlfriend and tap the link below to install the app. Then sneak away periodically to check the the game’s progress. With Pro Football Live, you’ll never miss another game. Poodle, or no poodle.

THANK YOU FOR THIS! You’ve made my Football watching SO much easier when out and about. SportsTap wasn’t cutting it.
