Apple arrives fashionably late to the party with a slick directory of free web apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. This, of course, comes as no surprise to us, we’ve been telling you about the best web apps for months now.

The official Apple web app directory is cleanly presented and smartly organized into a multitude of app categories. These apps are not native apps so no hacking or installing is required, you just need an internet connection and you’re good to go. Apple’s site also has a feature for developers to add new web apps to the directory.
