16GB iPhone and 32GB iPod touch

i love gb

Apple has announced the availability of a 16GB iPhone and a 32GB iPod touch. Both models double the previous max capacity of 8GB and 16GB respectively and are available for $499, a $100 premium over less endowed models.

Perfect timing. The log-awaited SDK is about to be released. A flood of space-hungry native apps should follow shortly to eat up those extra gigs before you can say Jailbreak!

    Wait!!
o.k! first i shelled out for a 8GB touch: £200 [ish]. Then: £13 for the new apps [yes i soldout and got them]. and now their only giving me £100 trade in price for my beloved 8GB.

more GIG is grate, but at what cost!

I feel more like a fool and less of the elite touch user i was when i first held my new ipod.

Apple why do you hate us early adopters so much!!

    Hi,

I have just completed the order form with credit card details for your DVD to IPod product. Having submitted the form I have not yet received any message confirming the order/ the download process has not happened. Please would you advice me on the status of my order ASAP.

    Thank you

    Joan,

We don’t sell any products so I’m not sure what order you are talking about or how I can help you. If you give more details, maybe we can help point you in the right direction.

I’m with Arlo on this one. I had a new 16gb Touch a month ago (my very first really cool “new” toy) and now it is old stuff. Not obsolete, as I love the thing, but the $20 for the software upgrade was not a good business move, I feel. I don’t feel as bad about the 32gb upgrade as that’s kind of a personal decision to spend the extra $100.
I’ve been a loyal Mac owner and user since the beginning and have gone through many product “end-of-lifes” and “obsoletes” through the years but the computers were truly old.
Just a word from down below to the Mac business guys… don’t turn into everybody else and cave to the sneaky side.

It is very interesting as i read many comments from different sites about the IPOD and the TOUCH. I have no room left on my classic 160(cough 149gig) Ipod. It’s all music and no videos. This is my library of music so wherever i’m at i can listen to anything i want. If i am at the store i can see if i own it already or need to add to the collection. I am mystified that Apple has no application to show unchecked songs, but they can show duplicates. Also, how much longer will it take someone to get to a 200 gig unit? I guess they’ll just keep us guessing
