Since the dawn of the writing system, be it a picture based system or a phonetic system, tools were needed. Many may think writing utensils have become obsolete with so much rich technology around us, but we can never truly forget about the average pen or pencil. These basic tools have always been a simple and convenient way to record anything; they also are still being used widely no matter how much our computers may have improved. However, like most things, pens and pencils are limited to a certain extent. The Beta Inkless pen is an extremely forward thought tool.

Design Aspects:
The Beta Inkless pen is, for the most part, exactly as the name indicates. Most people understand that pens always run out, whether it is in the middle of a test or when you’re doing your bills, it isn’t fun to have a dead pen. Axel Weinbrecht Design understood that and designed the Inkless pen, not only with function in mind but with stunning design alongside it. The Beta Inkless pen comes in two colors, black and silver. They are both made out of aluminum.
Metal nib.
Starting at the tip of the pen, since that’s what makes this unique utensil work, it is made out of metal. The reason behind this is that the metal tip will take decades, or a life time, to deplete. Although it’s called “inkless”, it does use metal as its ink. If you want to make the ink print sharper, using sand paper on the pen tip can easily accomplish that. However, the pen never needs to be sharpened or tuned in any way for it to actually work. One thing to note is the tip contains lead so it should not be chewed on.
End tip of the pen.
Where most pens have a flat tip at the end, the Inkless pen deviates from that and instead has a dashing appeal by using a slanted finish. This tip sets it apart from the average pen or pencil. It’s also well thought-out because the end tip gives it a stylish look.
Beta Inkless pen next to a BIC pen.
Compared to an average BIC pen, the Beta Inkless pen isn’t much different in size. However, the Inkless pen doesn’t have a cap, because it doesn’t need one, so that may make a difference.
The Beta Inkless pen also comes in a key chain version that is portable and useful in those times when you need a quick pen.
Extras:
Features:
One of the most innovative aspects of this pen, besides that it writes in metal, is it doesn’t stain clothes. Most, if not all, average pens seem to leave ink marks, stain clothing, or the ink would leak. However with the Beta pen, it does not mark any type of clothing. Which is wonderful because it’s tiring to ruin clothes because a pen is accidently swiped across a shirt or a pair of jeans. Another interesting aspect of this pen is that it can write in different angles, like upside down, which normal pens don’t do.
Pencil, pen, and the Beta Inkless compared.
Although the Beta Inkless is considered a pen, it does write like a pencil in terms of color and legibility. The Beta Inkless is permanent but, unfortunately, has the same readability as a pencil. Once you’re used to a pen’s lively color, it’s hard to go back and use a pencil. If the ink color was something darker or easier to read, then the Beta Inkless would easily see daily use. If your eyes can’t pick up writing in pencil, you’ll have a hard time seeing the writing of the Inkless pen. This aspect staggers the pen and if it’s fixed, it would be one of the most amazing pens. Having said all that, sketchers, doodlers, and people who use pencils in schools can find this super useful. The pen doesn’t smear or bleed so when you sketch or write something, the side of your palm won’t get ink on it.
Durability:
Another strong point of this pen is that it is made out of aluminum. It’s not cheap plastic or anything like that and can stand a beating or anything of that sort. Not only is the housing durable, the tip is as strong as the housing. This pen can easily be used for years without it breaking down because it dropped on the floor and got stepped on.
The Beta Inkless can write in almost any temperature or weather which makes it easy to use anywhere without having to worry if it will work, like underwater.
