Kisai Optical Illusion Touch Screen LCD Watch

Were you able to tell the time from that puzzle? If not, look closer but only at the smaller box that is at the center. Now cross your eyes, and focus on the numbers. The time should reveal itself. Once you have seen it, you can never “un-see” it. Believe it or not, but this method of telling time has actually been made into a watch.

Tokyoflash is a futuristic watch company that designs eye attracting watches and even makes concept watches from readers/fans into reality. The Optical Illusion LED Watch started out as a concept. It was posted to the Tokyoflash Design Studio back in September 2010 and the concept has now been made into a real watch with a few upgrades from the original.

Like many of Tokyoflash’s watches, this watch needs some getting used to before you become a natural at it. If you happen to get confused and just want the time, touch the bottom right corner to reveal the time. The watch has an LCD screen that is always on to display the time.

There are four hot zones on the LCD display, one to display the time, another for date, alarm, and lastly EL backlighting. The EL backlighting allows you to view the time at night much easier. Another neat feature is the ability to set an animation that loops every 20 seconds that displays the time and then the time in illusion form.

This watch is definitely for any tech loving guy. The watch can be bought from the Tokyoflash website by clicking here and the launch price is $20 less than the regular but is for a limited time. It comes in black or silver stainless steel and you can get a green LCD instead of the natural one.

Most definitely everyone can enjoy this. However, since this is mainly a Apple blog, I thought I would relate it back.
