It’s a conference call. It’s a podcast. It’s a live show. No, it’s TalkShoe!

TalkShoe community calls

This is an idea that is difficult to describe because there’s nothing quite like it. However, shortly after you start begin exploring it you realize how practical and obvious it actually is and wonder why it hasn’t been done already. Imagine hosting your own audioblog, chatting with hundreds of listeners in real-time, then posting a recored version of your show on your blog and podcast directories, and doing it all from your iPhone while driving home from work! Okay, so maybe that’s a bad idea, the driving part, that is. But if you want to broadcast your own audio show, listen to, or participate in other shows all from the mobility of your iPhone, then this is for you. Welcome to TalkShoe, the conference calling, community podcasting thingy that’s totally cool and highly addictive. Read on and find out why we think the quirky TalkShoe site has the potential to rival YouTube for your online attention.

The Missing Sync for iPhone

Moving sucks, especially when you have to move data from one mobile phone to another. Manually having to input all of your calendar data, contacts, notes, photos, and more. It can take hours and hours of tedious typing to get all of your valuable data on your new device. If you are planning to move to the iPhone from from another mobile phone and want to quickly move your data to your new iPhone, then check out The Missing Sync for iPhone. This utility will quickly transfer your data from Palm, BlackBerry, or Windows Mobile smartphone. And after you transfer your data you can continue to use The Missing Sync for iPhone to archive your data. It will also work for iPod touch but only for syncing Notes. Free digital magazine reader for iPhone and iPod touch - Texterity

Texterity Digital Magazines

Texterity is a web portal designed specifically for reading digital versions of popular magazines on the iPhone or iPod touch. Texterity does more than just display the article text, it displays the text in it’s original print layout format with the beautiful typography and all the images. Texterity uses mobile Safari so there’s nothing to download or install, and it cleverly uses the unique features of mobile Safari to preserve the richness of magazine reading. The reading experience Texterity manages to accomplish is quite impressive and highlights the iPhone’s strength in rendering readable text and images. After using Texterity you really have to wonder why anyone would buy a Kindle book reader from Amazon when the iPhone and iPod touch are both capable of so much more.

Get Groovin’ with your iPhone freinds on Groovr, fresh out of beta

Groovr

The new social network Groovr has just emerged from beta and is now available to anyone looking for, well, a new social network. It’s not like we need another social network to generate more continuous partial attention. However, Groovr’s interface for the iPhone and iPod touch outshines the Facebook experience on mobile Safari and tosses in a few extra features you won’t find on any other mobile social network. Maybe you and your friends are so entrenched in Facebook you won’t be willing to give Groovr a try. Or, maybe you’re like us and just plain tired of dodging sheep and pokes in Facebook and just need to connect with your friends on the go. If so, you’ll find Groovr much better than Facebook for connecting to your friends from your iPhone or iPod touch.

iPhone and me? We’ve only just begun

iPhone heart

I first met iPhone last July on a blind date. Steve introduced us. He instinctively knew we would hit it off. At that time I was already in a serious office relationship with Blackberry, but iPhone quickly became the Apple of my eye. You could say that I have a fruit fetish.

In the seven months since we met, the honeymoon may be over but the magic is far from gone. Lately, I have noticed changes in iPhone’s behavior. iPhone became lighter on the wallet and seems to remember a lot more things now. On this Valentine’s Day, I sense that we are on the brink of a colossal change that will push our relationship to levels we’ve only dreamt about.

For those of you who brave souls who have dabbled with the infamous Jailbreaks, you already have a taste for what’s in store. Customization, games, Outlook integration, and thousands of applications yet to be invented. iPhone and iPod touch will soon offer all that and much, much more.

Keep prying eyes away from your iPhone pr0n with privacy screen

Case-mate Privacy Screen

If you own an iPhone or iPod touch then you know what an eye magnet it can be out in the wild. As soon as you pull it out and start flicking photos or pinching web pages, a small crowd of rubber-neckers begins to form around you like a bathtub ring. It’s a nuisance. Now you can enjoy more privacy in such situations by shielding your screen from wandering eyes. The Privacy Screen from Case-mate is a vinyl, static cling film that sticks to your screen without impeding its touch response. The Privacy Screen provides multi-directional, crystal clear viewing for you while displaying a blacked out screen to others trying to see what you are doing.
