Maxim’s Hometown Hotties delivers a banquet of babes alongside weather conditions making this iPhone-optimized web site a worthy replacement for the native Weather.app. Maxim provides a real humanitarian service here, especially for the young male residents of Honeyville, Utah, where it’s currently 1 freakin’ degrees outside and all they have to warm them up is a Maxim girl (pictured here). And if that’s not enough to bring a smile to their faces, maybe Maxim’s Joke-O-Matic will do the trick.

We’ve been pretty impressed with the iPhone’s battery life, but still, with battery life there is no such thing as “long enough”. Thank goodness for the new Powerstick mobile device charger which is our new favorite accessory for iPhone and iPod touch. The Powerstick is a universal USB charger that fills with power via any USB device. It provides charging to power deficient mobile devices the same way, just plug it into a USB port and let it transfer the power back into the mobile device. At $69.95 it seems a little pricey just for a charger, but after you dig into the Powerstick’s specs, you’ll realize it’s worth every cent.

Today, Travelocity announced the iPhone optimized version of their airline flight reservation site, and last month Hotels.com released an iPhone interface for finding and reserving hotel rooms. Both sites are very quick to use and have some handy features making these very worthy of web clips for road warriors and vacationers alike.
