Pay iPhone bills online and save a tree, maybe even a forest
The first month’s iPhone bills have started to show up. Astonished customers are reporting long bills, like up to three hundred pages long in some cases! And we’re talking paper here, so many sheets of paper that some bills are shipped in boxes instead of envelopes. What gives? AT&T’s ancient billing system apparently creates a line item for every data transfer with a billing amount of zero. That will appear on your bill for every time you do something online on your iPhone. Heavy users of the all-you-can-eat data plan may have to go through pages and pages of zero transactions to find a charge for a phone call. AT&T will have to upgrade their billing system to accommodate iPhone users, but until then you can minimize the tree damage by setting your billing preference to be online instead of snail mail.
